Unlike generic online tools, PaperThePDF uses a multi-stage processing pipeline — paper tone, grayscale conversion, random rotation, Gaussian blur, CCD sensor noise, and JPEG compression artefacts — mirroring exactly what a real flatbed scanner produces. The result is indistinguishable from a document that was physically printed and scanned.

Choose from four curated presets — Classic B&W office scan, Modern colour scan, warm Sepia vintage, and heavy Vintage wear — or dial in your own custom settings and save them as profiles.
Adjust DPI (72–300), artefact intensity (subtle to heavy), paper tilt, paper tone (warm cream, cool white, yellowed), and per-page overrides so every page looks exactly right.
Add realistic paper aging effects: coffee-ring stains, horizontal fold creases, dog-eared top corners, and three-hole-punch marks — individually or combined for maximum realism.
Overlay any text watermark in tiled or single-stamp mode. Control opacity, colour, rotation angle, and exact position. The watermark is composited before scan effects so it looks physically stamped.
Upload your own signature image (background is automatically removed), use a stock rubber stamp from the built-in library, or generate a text stamp in box, circle, or plain styles — then drag and resize it on any page.
Watch your changes apply in real time. Use the Compare slider to drag between the original and scanned versions on any page. Navigate multi-page PDFs with a thumbnail strip.
Need only pages 1–3 and page 7? Specify any page range or subset. Export as a scanned PDF or as individual JPEG images packed in a ZIP archive.
Your files are processed in a temporary server session and automatically deleted after one hour. No account is required, no files are logged or retained, and no data is shared with third parties.
